Can you describe your role at IMGS?
I’m the Lead GIS Developer in IMGS, I support a wide range of our customers from local government to large utilities with their enterprise GIS applications and integrations into other enterprise systems.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to solve complex issues, and achieve great satisfaction from the process. We have a diverse customer base and every day brings new unique challenges.
What do you enjoy most about working at IMGS?
We have a fantastic team in IMGS, they’re amazing people, there’s always lots of laughs and never a dull moment at IMGS.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy binge watching on Netflix, If I start a series and it’s engaging it’s hard to not finish it in rapid succession. My interests are sci-fi, action, spy-thrillers and watching tech reviews. Apart from an interest in all things digital I love weekend walks with my wife in the park. I also enjoy talking to my kids at the dinner table and hearing about their day to day experiences at school.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Its bit personal for me and honestly the thought has occurred to me many times, that I wish I had the power to heal. Also the power to teleport would be great to avoid the congestion of the daily commute 😊

I am fascinated by how AI has emerged as a game changer the last couple of years and wonder what it means for all our futures and the generations to come. I am also influenced by leaders who preach peace and are liberal in their viewpoints.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Switzerland as In my earlier years I watched many Bollywood movies that were filmed there and was mesmerised by the beautiful landscape. Now that I am living in Europe I hope to visit one day and experience the wonderful views for myself. I love forests and mountains, so sitting in cottage and looking out of balcony across this wonderful landscape, would be a dream come true.
If you could do a job for just one day, what would it be?
I think I would have to be an astronaut and experience space travel. The thought of floating weightlessly, looking down upon Earth from the quiet expanse of space, and witnessing phenomena like the aurora borealis from above would be an amazing experience!
